1. The agreement

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Anish Polakala (“Raisin”, “we”, “us”), the developer of the Raisin iPhone app and this website. By downloading or using Raisin you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Raisin.

These terms are the end user license agreement for the app. Where they differ from Apple’s standard EULA, these terms apply between you and us.

2. Who can use Raisin

You must be at least 18 years old. Raisin discusses sex and sexual health throughout, and it is rated 18+ on the App Store. When you first open the app, you confirm your age. Where Apple provides a declared age range for your account and it is under 18, the app will not run.

Do not use Raisin if you are under 18, and do not give it to anyone who is. You must also be able to form a binding contract where you live.

3. What Raisin is, and is not

Raisin provides educational content and behavioral coaching for sexual wellbeing: programs, timed exercises, check-ins and an AI coach.

Raisin is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a doctor, urologist, sex therapist or other licensed professional. Nothing in Raisin creates a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship.

The check-ins and assessments are adapted from screening tools. A score is not a diagnosis. Erection and ejaculation difficulties can have physical causes. If your symptoms are persistent, painful, sudden or worrying, or before any decision about medication or treatment, talk to a clinician. Never delay seeking care because of something you read in Raisin.

Results vary. The exercises are drawn from published research; many men improve, some do not, and some conditions need medical treatment. We make no promise about outcomes.

4. Emergencies

Raisin is not for emergencies, and nobody monitors it in real time.

If you have an erection lasting more than four hours, chest pain during or after sex, an injury, or bleeding, get urgent care now. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or call 911 or your local emergency number. More on the safety page.

5. No account: your device is your key

Raisin does not have accounts. The app creates a random ID on your phone, and that is how we recognize you. Keep your phone secure: anyone with access to your unlocked phone can see your progress. App lock in Settings adds Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode in front of the app.

If you delete the app or delete your data, your progress is gone and cannot be restored. A subscription can be restored through Apple.

6. Your license to use Raisin

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Raisin on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store’s usage rules allow.

You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, lend, distribute, reverse-engineer or extract the app, its content or its prompts, or use any of them to build a competing product. All rights we do not expressly grant stay with us.

7. Your content

What you enter in Raisin, such as answers, check-ins, logs and coach messages, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run Raisin for you, as the privacy policy describes. We do not use it for marketing or to train AI models.

You are responsible for what you type into the coach. Do not include anyone else’s private information.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

• use Raisin if you are under 18, or let anyone under 18 use it;
• use it for anything illegal;
• try to make the coach produce sexually explicit, erotic or fetish content, or any content involving minors;
• harass, threaten or abuse anyone, including through the coach;
• use it to plan anything non-consensual, or to manipulate or pressure another person;
• probe, scrape, overload, interfere with or reverse-engineer the service, or try to extract our prompts or the model’s instructions;
• share, resell or automate access to Raisin;
• misrepresent your age or identity.

We may limit, suspend or end your access if you break these rules.

9. Ask Raisin, the AI coach

Ask Raisin is an automated assistant built on a large language model from Anthropic. It is not a person, a therapist or a doctor. It is available to Pro subscribers, it is off until you turn it on, and before it runs you consent to your messages being sent to Anthropic, as the privacy policy explains.

The coach can be wrong. Its replies are educational coaching generated in the moment, and they can be inaccurate, incomplete or off-tone. Do not rely on them for medical decisions.

The coach is designed to decline explicit content, medication or dosage questions, diagnoses and anything involving minors, and to point you to a doctor or a crisis line when your message calls for it. Before first use you agree to the coach content policy.

Every reply has a Report control. A person reviews reports within 24 hours and acts on them: we may correct the coach’s behavior, remove content, or suspend the coach for someone who abuses it. Message limits apply to keep the service reliable, and we may change them.

10. Raisin Pro subscriptions

Raisin Pro unlocks all programs, all guided drills and Ask Raisin. There are two plans:

• Raisin Pro Yearly: $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Raisin Pro Monthly: $14.99 per month.

Prices are in US dollars and are shown in the app before you buy. Apple charges any applicable tax.

How billing works

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• The free trial converts to a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. One free trial per Apple Account. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during it.
• Manage or cancel in your iPhone’s Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel. When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
• If we change a price, Apple will notify you in advance and you can cancel before the new price applies.
• To restore a purchase on a new phone or after reinstalling, open Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases while signed in with the Apple Account you subscribed with.

11. The free part

Some sessions and drills are free without a subscription. We may change what is free, add or remove features, or stop offering Raisin. If we stop for good, we will give reasonable notice where we can, and Apple’s refund rules apply to any period you have paid for.

12. Privacy

Our privacy policy and consumer health data policy explain what we collect, who processes it and how to delete it. They are part of these terms.

13. Intellectual property

Raisin, its name and wordmark, its programs, lessons, scripts, exercises, prompts, design and software are owned by Anish Polakala or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The research Raisin cites belongs to its authors and publishers, and we cite it on the evidence page. Apple, App Store and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc.

14. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Raisin at any time: delete your data in Settings, cancel any subscription through Apple, and delete the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering Raisin.

The sections on your content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, Apple and general terms continue to apply after the agreement ends.

15. Disclaimers

Raisin is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Raisin will be uninterrupted or error-free, that its content is complete or current, or that using it will change your sex life.

Some places do not allow some of these exclusions. Where that is the case, they apply as far as the law permits.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Raisin. Our total liability for all claims related to Raisin is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to Raisin or these terms will be decided by the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court instead. If you live somewhere with consumer protections that cannot be waived, those still apply.

18. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it applies. Using Raisin after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, stop using Raisin and cancel any subscription.

19. Apple and the App Store

Raisin is distributed through Apple’s App Store, and Apple requires the following terms.

• Acknowledgement. These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Raisin or its content.
• Scope of license. Your license is limited to a non-transferable license to use Raisin on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the usage rules in Apple’s App Store terms. Raisin Pro is not shared through Family Sharing.
• Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for maintaining and supporting Raisin. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
• Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not disclaimed. If Raisin does not conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to Raisin not conforming to a warranty are our responsibility.
• Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Raisin or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that Raisin does not conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
• Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that Raisin or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging the claim.
• Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Developer contact. Anish Polakala, United States, support@getraisin.app, for questions, complaints or claims about Raisin.
• Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using Raisin, such as your wireless carrier’s.
• Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. When you accept them, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

20. General

These terms, with the privacy policy and the consumer health data policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Raisin. If a part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to someone who takes over Raisin, and we will tell you if we do. Except for Apple as described above, nobody else has rights under these terms. We will send notices through the app or this website.
